“Reader Meets Author” is a spot series exploring the dynamics of author-reader relationship.

Reading constructs an encounter that transcends time and space, yet this experience is often not just straightforward delight but carries subtleties and complexities that entail self investigation and emotional exposure. Hence, the author-reader relationship can shift between a variety of feelings such as intimacy, conflict, devotion, projection, and misunderstanding, etc. Partially inspired by Roland Barthes’ “Death of the Author”, the series visualizes these dynamics through surreal interactions between figures an books, with certain allusions to mythology, art, and religion.
