“Time Doesn’t Exist” is a series of spot illustrations published in the January 12, 2026 issue of The New Yorker.

The series was inspired by the idea that time doesn’t exist: that time is not an inherent element in reality, but only a framework humans invented to maintain order and structure. With this idea in mind, I used the series to depict people’s relationship with time through figures interacting with variations of the clock motif. Visually, I put emphasis on deconstructing and reinventing the familiar symbol of the clock.
